We’re thrilled to announce that the talks from our 2025 event at Trinity Theatre are now live on YouTube!
Back in March, our speakers took to the stage to present their incredible ideas. Covering a range of topics from business, to social issues, to the power of our communities, they are an amazing cohort, and we’re so excited to share their talks with the world.
Want to help us produce even more amazing talks? Scroll down to find out how you can be a part of our team
Why Purpose Isn’t Enough (And What To Do About It) - Sally Henderson
While there’s plenty of advice out there on finding your purpose, there’s very little about translating that into actionable steps to help you achieve it. In this talk, Sally Henderson outlines a simple method that will allow you to get going, keep up your efforts, and assist you in breaking down that massive milestone into smaller, achievable goals.
Changing The Script on Violence Against Women - Nicolette Kay
This talk contains strong language, descriptions of physical and emotional abuse, and a brief description of a murder. Viewer discretion is advised.
During the 2024 Euros, domestic abuse cases rose by at least 25% regardless of whether England won, drew or lost a match, according to research from the UK’s National Centre for Domestic Violence. This harrowing statistic is part of the ongoing situation when it comes to violence against women. Nicolette Kay speaks to everyone, not just men, in this incredible call to action, and seeks to answer the question “Why is this happening, and what must change?”
This talk contains an excerpt of “Hurried Steps”, written by Dacia Maraini, translated by Sharon Wood, and performed by David Binder and Britte de Groot.
Alive and Flicking - How To Revitalise A Community - Gianluca Zucchelli
In 1946, a man called Peter Adolph came up with the idea for a table top football game. 78 years later, his game was being played in his home town by over 300 people from 27 different countries. Gianluca Zucchelli presents the story of a community that revitalised a sport that began from nothing more than chalk and an army blanket, and showcases a blueprint for reuniting a community that you hold dear to your heart.
Survival Of The Kindest - Julian Abel
Following his groundbreaking research in Frome Medical Practice, Julian Abel returns to the TEDx stage to challenge the evolutionary theory of “Survival of the fittest”. Showing the power of compassion throughout our politics, our economics, and the diversity that underpins it all, Julian makes a compelling case for the impact that communities can make throughout our lives.
